Bayelsa Health Commissioner Congratulates Diri on One Year in Office

The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Pabara Newton Igwele has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo as they clock one year in office.
In his Goodwill message he described the Governor as an excellent statesman and applauded his commitment to the development of all sectors in the Bayelsa economy, particularly his outstanding achievements in the health sector which has made the state a model.
He added that under the Governor’s watch the state was able to control the COVID-19 Pandemic effectively, placing Bayelsa as one of the states with the best innovations and control over the pandemic.
He also appreciated Governor Diri for his approval of the paid nursing Internship Programme in Bayelsa, which is the first in the South South and has made the state enviable across the nation.
Dr Igwele noted that the completion of the Kaiama Referral Hospital, free medical outreaches to flood victims across the three senatorial zones,the distribution of over 100,000 mosquito nets, are only a few of the achievements Bayelsans have enjoyed under his purposeful leadership.
The Health Commissioner added that he is assured that the Ministry of Health and indeed the entire state will record greater feats in the coming years under the Prosperity administration.
He concluded by praying the good Lord to continually bless and guide him to lead Bayelsans into unending prosperity and progress in the coming years.
